Evolution and classification of computers, hardware components (CPU, ALU, CU, Registers), Memory types (Primary, Secondary, Cache), and Computer Architecture (Von Neumann model).
Binary, Octal, Decimal, and Hexadecimal conversions. 1's and 2's complement arithmetic. Introduction to Boolean logic, logic gates, and truth tables.
System and Application software. OS functions and types. Navigation of GUI-based OS and introduction to CLI with basic Windows CMD practice.
In-depth features of Word Processing (Mail Merge, Tables), Spreadsheets (Complex Formulas, Functions, Charts), and Presentation tools.
Program design tools (Algorithms, Flowcharts, Pseudocode). C Programming: Data types, Variables, Control structures (If-else, Switch, Loops).
Foundations of WWW and HTTP. Building static web pages using HTML5 tags and styling with basic CSS properties.
Exploration of multimedia elements: Text, Graphics, Audio, Video, and Animation. Discussion on applications in education and industry.
Security threats (Viruses, Phishing) and countermeasures. Overview of digital ethics, Cyber Law, and the Electronic Transaction Act of Nepal.
To successfully complete this course and be eligible for your practical marks, you are strictly required to submit a comprehensive lab report at the end of the academic year.
This report is a compiled, systematic documentation of all the laboratory experiments, coding challenges, website mockups, and software exercises you perform throughout the term.
